Watershed Coordinator's Report

A new coordinator has been hired for the Salem Urban Area Watershed Councils. Bob Roth has been the coordinator for Johnson Creek Watershed Council. We will have the opportunity of meeting him at the next meeting.

Glenn reported successfully moving the Assessment files from COG to MSWCD.

Install New Board Member

Susan Suihkonen will no longer be able to be on our board as the bylaws of Morningside Neighborhood Association were changed so that she is now officially a member there. Roger Heusser has agreed to have his name put up for nomination to replace Susan. All those board members present unanimously approved Roger's nomination

Building Our Web Page

Victor discussed what our web site looks like now - mostly being filled with agenda and meeting minutes. Pictures from several projects were brought to the meeting so a short commentary and description could be added, and pictures selected for the web page.

It was suggested that we contact the Archibald's about additional pictures of their detention site, John Miller about Minto Brown planting pictures, Libby at Liberty School for pictures of the parking lot bioswale, Jeanne Fromme for bioswale pictures at Cannery Park, and looking for pictures of the Mayor handing out awards to students for projects completed in the Pringle Creek Watershed.

The next meeting was set for February 12, 2002; 6:30 PM at Leslie Middle School Media Center.
